Corporate Attorney

An international company in Eugene, Oregon seeks a corporate attorney to be a part of the legal team. This position will draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts, third-party vendor agreements, service agreements, consulting agreements, lease agreements and other corporate agreements. Ensure that all such transactions are sound and comply with the Company's policies, applicable laws, rules and regulations and above all, ethical principles. Provide corporate governance and compliance support. Provide legal research and analysis on legal issues as needed. Recognize key business issues and take necessary steps to safeguard corporate exposure and interests. Respond to client inquiries in a timely manner.

Minimum Education & Work Requirement:
Minimum of 4 years of relevant and recent legal practice experience in similar work environment (i.e. corporate legal department) with focus on commercial contracts review, drafting and negotiations or equivalent law firm experience.
Proven ability to effectively counsel clients concerning legal and business risks in a transactional context. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong working knowledge of desktop applications; proven proficiency with MS Office Suite.
Juris Doctorate
License Requirement:
Active and in good standing with a state bar and if out-of-state, eligible for in-house counsel license.
